Summer Solstice Celebrations

at ‘Dja Willam', 65 Andersons Road , Daylesford.

Celebrate this special time of the natural cycle with sacred fire, prayer, potlatch, music, teachings, healings and ceremonies, all with and in the company of like-minded and friendly people.

A sacred fire will be lit at 6.08am Saturday to acknowledge the Sun, in particular its transition from lengthening days to the beginning of shortening days.

Schedule:

Friday night - Inipi (Sweat Lodge) – Teach an alais (House of mist and fire)

6.08 am Saturday, lighting of the Sacred fire

Breakfast – bring your own

Prayer and Dedication at Fire

Potlatch Lunch – please bring food to share

Workshops – teachings, readings and healings

– we all have something to share come prepared to give and receive

Evening meal – BBQ will be lit – please bring your own food

Celebration and music – please bring musical instruments and your voice

There will be a market space set aside – so if you have anything in context of this celebration you wish to sell or promote please book a space - no extra charge.

Campers are welcome Friday evening to ensure attendance at the lighting and are welcome to stay Saturday night .

Day visitors are welcome anytime during Saturday.

Cost

Attendance: $22 per adult, $33 for couples. Children will be admitted free.

Tent Camping $11 per adult per night – kids no charge.

Tipi camping available $33 per person per night - kids half price - limited space please book.

Luxury camping $120 per couple per night – limited space please book.

Bring delicious food to share.
